THE APPLICATION PROCESS
To study at Techtorium NZIIT, international students must have a current student visa for a specific course within the institute. A student visa application form can be obtained from an agent or the course advisor or downloaded from New Zealand immigration website www.immigration.govt.nz. Upon arrival in New Zealand the Techtorium NZIIT will check your visa for validity; a copy is kept for evidence on your personal file. Below is an outline of what you will need to do to be considered for enrolment as an international student at Techtorium

STEP 1:
ONLINE EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
Your first step is to complete the online EXPRESSION OF INTEREST form (also referred to as the Online Student Application form) and submit with supporting documentation (if required). Once completed, you will be assigned an International Student Officer to assist you application. This is a short 3 minute form that will allow you to submit:
- Personal details (Name, Date of Birth)
- Contact details (Physical Address, Email Address, Contact Number)
- Citizenship details (Passport Number, Citizenship, Residency)
- Skill-level (qualifications held, IELTS, TOEFL, Employment)
- Programme of Study you are interested in
- Supporting documentation (CV’s, Proof of Address, Statements)
Once completed, the assigned International Student Officer will email you to advise you of the next step in the process to becoming an international student in New Zealand.
STEP 2:
INTERNATIONAL STUDENT REGISTRATION
The second step requires you to download and complete the INTERNATIONAL STUDENT REGISTRATION form. When you submit this form to your assigned International Student Officer, you must provide the following documents to support your application:
- Verified copy of current, valid Passport.
- Verified copies of you academic records.
- Work experience records.
- Copy of Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Evidence of English test results (either IELTS or TOEFL)
If you do not provide all of the above documentation, your assigned International Students Officer will request the relevant documentation before processing. Techtorium NZIIT will not process your application if any of the following documents are not provided, or, the assigned International Student Officer believes your documentation requires further verification.


STEP 3:
OFFER OF PLACEMENT
When you have met the requirements and are accepted into a programme of study, you will receive the following documents from Techtorium NZIIT:
- Formal letter of offer
- Confirmation of place
- Invoice of fees
Please allow for up to 15 working days for processing. Once you have received your final (unconditional) offer of place, you can pay your tuition fees and arrange your accomodation, insurance and travel.
As part of the conditions of acceptance you must show a deposit of at least NZ$15,000 in a New Zealand bank. This fund is for you to use for living expenses over a year period.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) : Students may apply for RPL consideration. All applications will be judged on merit and must include verified supporting documentation. Applications may be referred to a third party as necessary.
